7 of Cups

“What would happen if you gave up being a Walter Mitty and began to create your life in the present rather then inhabiting the pico (imaginary) universes in your head?  Are you ready to see your life as a present-time adventure instead of a future possibility?  Who are you today and what grand and glorious adventures are you going to have?”  -Gary Douglas

The 7 of cups asks us to see the places where we are not being present. Where we are not being focused in our lives.  Are we spending too much time daydreaming and imagining life rather than actually living it?

I remember taking a National Massage Exam about 10 years ago.  And I had to take it 3 times before I passed.  Funny the first time I took it I just figured I knew everything and promptly found out I didn’t.  The second time I imagined myself passing it, I visualized it but I didn’t study at all.  Guess what… I didn’t pass that one either.  It wasn’t until the 3rd time where I not only knew I would pass, I focused on the energy of what it would feel like when I passed AND I also did everything it took to pass.  I created flash cards and studied them Every morning.  I was present with myself and taking the actions necessary. Creating what you truly desire in your life more often than not means you have to at least take that first step.  Be in action and then the universe can steer the boat.  But sitting inside imagining and waiting for life doesn’t usually bring it to you door.

Unfortunately the life we live in our heads keeps us from living here on Earth.  Do you feel as though life is passing you by?  Have you become afraid of participating?  Are you waiting to die or dying to live?  Would you be willing to love even if you knew someday you could lose it?  Because isn’t it better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all?  At least it may be way more fun.

Love yourself you are amazing!

Beyond Grateful,
